Photobucket begins transferring customers to new platform

Pioneering photo-sharing site Photobucket has begun asking customers to migrate to its new platform, promising better performance and fewer ads. The company is offering three new pricing plans, and will still offer a free tier.

Earlier this year, Photobucket announced it was under new management, and promised upgrades to its hosting services. In August, the company sold its Photobucket Print Shop service to Mailpix.
